They are actually twins. Old faeries. Although, you know, I have taken this picture in such a different direction than what I originally intended, that the meaning and the story behind it has changed somewhat. I traded in the elegance of a clean world for an interesting grotesque one. I think Faerie is pretty grotesque anyway. It is a world where beauty is synonymous with decay. I think someone said something like that of one of my pictures recently, and I thought it so was grousse that I filched it for this description, having nothing truly interesting or profound to say about it.
I'll put some more stuffs WIP and thingys in my scraps in a bit, as usual. Oh yeah, this one started in black and white, so I'll throw that up too. BTW I'm bringing back 'grousse' (with the new spelling), so if you're cool, you'll use it too!
Haha!! A 'fairy' is one fairy, but 'faeries' means more than one!! But Faerie is the name of the world that they live in, as well!!!
Also "fairy" can mean anything from the people like ones, to elves, to banshees, to the pixie ones. But it also can mean specifically the little pixie ones!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
